Spring Forward...
Today was a good day. It started out great! Our two year old slept in until 8:30. It was like we were on vacation or something. I'm used to being rousted out of bed at 7:00 by an elbow to the head. Yes, he still sleeps with us. I know that comment will invite criticism but so be it. He typically winds up in our bed in the early morning... between 4:30 and 6:00. Don't get me wrong, he starts out in his bed. He just wakes up and very quietly sneaks into his very heavily sleeping parents bed. He's very quick like that.
Anyway, this post while seemingly about my two year old is really about the time change. I know, how did I get from one to the other? My two year old has been getting up at 7 since he was about 1. Now with the time change it's 8 - 8:30.
Anyway, I get so incredibly excited about the change to Daylight Savings Time. More daylight, who wouldn't be interested in more daylight? Yes, I know there really are only so many hours and so much daylight in the universe. So here's my question. Why do we continue to switch back? I personally would like to stay on daylight savings time forever. I understand why years ago they did this but I'm not so clear these days. Arizona seems to do just fine. Is there a reason we couldn't here in Oregon? Just a thought.
