Not so Boring

Okay, Okay I know some of you are thinking, WHAT!  What is she thinking? Here's the explanation.

I was reading my blog to my wonderful Hubby last night and after I was done he was pretty quiet (not an indication of how he liked my last blog, he's typically kinda quiet) a few minutes later I asked what he thought.  He complimented me and then said what do you think about "The Simple Wife".   At first I laughed because I got the take off... Simple Life.  Paris and Nicole's show... we'll go with the rule - If you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all.  So then we got occupied with other things and didn't get back to discussing the title until he was just about to fall asleep.

Only a few of you know the fact that when my husband is about to fall asleep he babbles about things that make no sense.  He goes into this state that isn't awake, but isn't asleep too.  He mixes reality with his dreams and things get pretty funny when you try to talk to him.  So I'd asked him, without thinking about the fact that he was in this state, why "The Simple Wife"?  He mumbled something pretty incoherent and I realized we'd have to wait until this morning to discuss this further.

So this morning I tried again and things went much better.  He explained that I'd been writing about pretty common things up to this point and so "The Simple Life" had come into his head.  He of course realized that this was already taken and so then trying to come up with something that was still catchy tacked on wife instead of life.  He explained it had nothing to do with intelligence (I know that says nothing positive of the show) and that people have begun to equate simple with stupid.  He meant nothing of the sort.

I was happy to hear this explanation because after he fell asleep I began to think just that.  I'm glad I was wrong, but not so glad to be a part of the population that is equating simple and stupid.  So anyway, I think the name is actually quite fitting.  I'm not here to write about quadratic equations or black holes.   I am here to write about daily life.   I've been looking for a blog title that was catchy and I think that this one fits the bill.  So, thanks Honey!
